We’re Looking for Some Great People

to Join Our Team. Is That You?

Job Opportunities

Do you have a background that can be leveraged in a sales role to serve engineering and manufacturing companies? Are you technically savvy and organized with a strong work ethic and desire to close? Do you also operate effectively under minimal supervision, learn quickly, and have excellent analytical and verbal skills?

If so, let’s talk!

Ally PLM Solutions, Inc. (www.allyplm.com), a Siemens PLM Software Solution Partner, is seeking sales people (preferably with experience in the engineering and manufacturing space) to support our customer base in a sales capacity as well as grow our software training revenue.

Who we’re looking for:
You are personable and enjoy engaging with customers. You are determined and get a rush from closing deals, yet have a customer service minded philosophy and find it gratifying to deliver solutions that unlock business value. You have a strong desire to achieve a high degree of professional mastery and are eager to take responsibility for expanding an important and profitable segment of our business. You want to earn the respect of our customers and staff.

Comfortable working autonomously, you nevertheless want to see the team succeed and get satisfaction from knowing you played a critical role.

Ideal candidates:
  • Have a history of sales success serving engineering and manufacturing companies
  • Are highly self-motivated and comfortable with accountability to metrics, including a quota
  • Learn technical material quickly and adopt technology process tools easily
  • Have outstanding English verbal and written communication skills

What you will do:
Employment begins with Product and Industry Sales training, and the primary job responsibilities are to: 1) provide software solutions to our customer/prospect base primarily via phone and email and 2) grow sales of our successful software training program into new and existing accounts.

You will:
  • Develop a foundational knowledge of the benefits of CAD/CAM software
  • Sell software solutions aligned with challenges commonly encountered during the design and manufacture of products
  • Sell software training courses into new and existing accounts

Additional Responsibilities Include:
  • Identifying prospective customers in an assigned territory/industry
  • Managing the prospecting, development, and reporting of customer accounts
  • Developing relationships from a cold call or networking activity
  • Listening and leveraging resources to effectively position software and training to address critical client business issues

Candidate requirements for this position:
  • 2 years prior sales experience
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Other preferred qualifications include:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Work experience in engineering or manufacturing companies
  • Work experience with Solid Edge, Solid Works, Inventor, or NX

Local candidates only. No relocation assistance is available for this position.

The compensation plan for this role will vary based on the qualifications of the candidate, but being frank, this is an excellent opportunity for the right applicant as we have a large and underserved client base (from a sales perspective). If you’re interested in learning more, please apply with a cover letter and resume (sales@allyplm.com). Our business is successful as it is. So a compelling letter will let us know how your qualifications map to driving increased company prosperity and convince us that we are not so much hiring a sales person as we are buying a business outcome (i.e.—increased sales).

We are looking for candidates who are rare in the marketplace and will likely only respond to a select few (don’t get discouraged—there are lots of great places to work out there). Have a great day!

Why Ally PLM Solutions?

Ally PLM Solutions is looking for the right individuals to join our team. We are a service-oriented organization and candidates must self-identify as such. Make no mistake–everyone here is very hard working and our individual productivity exceeds that of our competitors, but we are equally laid back and enjoyable. Personality fit is extremely important to us and we will only hire those we like, stellar work history aside.  To be clear, if you have a strong sense of entitlement or are otherwise a jerk (be honest with yourself), do not apply (let’s not waste time!). We’ve got a great office (no cubicle farm here) with views of the woods and the animals that live there, plus a shady patio where we grill out and/or work. Dress is casual when customers are not here and you better at least like dogs because we’ve got a couple.

Our company values the opinions of all our employees and considers them equally.  We are transparent and our accounting is open-book (minus individual salaries, everyone has access to full company financials and business strategies). This leverages the full talents of our staff and everyone enjoys a sense of ownership.

We offer a full range of benefits including:

  • Health insurance for employee and family (including dental and vision)
  • Generous PTO
  • Simple IRA with company match (small company equivalent of 401K plan)
  • Bonus based on individual and company goals

Sound good so far?  Here’s a “fit” quiz:

  • You are self-motivated and independent, yet want to be an integral part of a close team.
  • You have always wanted to feel a sense of ownership in a company and will find fulfillment in seeing your impact on its growth.
  • You are flexible and want to take on additional responsibilities outside a defined role.
  • You are comfortable with people depending on you and have a strong desire to serve others.
  • You expect (and want) to be challenged to do your best work ever.
  • You find it fulfilling to work with peers who expect your input and will consider your ideas with equal weight as any other opinion.
