How To Find NX 8.5 and NX 9.0 Help Documents

If you are having problems locating the NX 8.5 and NX 9.0 Help Documentations, I have provided a solution.


Here is the workflow:
1. Make sure you are currently on Java 7 update 45. If you
are not sure about which java version you are on, please visit: www.java.com
to find which java update is installed on your machine.  
2. Download the patch from our FTP site: 
3. Extract the content of the folder: js,search,
xps_tdocext_local ,indel.html
4. Delete the folders/files listed in step 3 from this location
C:Program FilesSiemensNX 9.0UGDOChtml_filesnx_help
5. Copy the extracted files mentioned in step 3 in this
location C:Program FilesSiemensNX 9.0UGDOChtml_filesnx_help

This workflow has been tested on NX 8.5 and NX 9.0

    Very nice explanation ..and i can access help on internet explorere..but whenever i search in the documentation home page in the search bar it is showing YOUR SEARCH ITEM WAS NOT FOUND.. what should i do for this and iam unable to access help on mozilla or chrome it only works on internet explorer and even the search option is not working on internet explorer.

      Depending on the version of NX you are running you can set up a System Environment Variable

      Name:UGII_UGDOC_BASE
      Value:https://docs.plm.automation.siemens.com

      Once the environment variable is set try to access NX help.It might ask you to enter the Siemens webkey username and password the first time you try to access help function. You will need an internet connection. If you want us to investigate your current issue further please feel free to email us at technical.support@allyplm.com.
